The Wedgelock series of retainers offer the highest locking force available for cold wall applications. They mount to PC Board assemblies using screws, rivets or adhesive banding and are then inserted into machined channels of cold plates or heat exchange

Wedge-Frame Type I

1. Increased thermal and structural performance by reducing surface-to-surface resistance of traditional retainer components.
2. Increased under wedge frame thickness to promote through PCB thermal performance. Most IC's are lower than our under wedge thickness. 0.128".
3. Increased surface area by increasing mating surfaces by widening the wedges and reducing the wedge slope.
4. Reducing the angle also increases the friction applied to the cold wall.
5. 6-32 Screw to increase torque and performance over a traditional above PCB retainer. Nearly all traditional retainers use 4-40 screws.
6. Controlled design of the wedge width allows you to increase the surface contact to the cold wall.
7. Ability to extend the wedge and frame to the PCB edge without removing part of the PCB and maintain the same surface contact as Jumbo-Retainers.
8. Promotes thicker internal webbing of the frame where a traditional retainer would reside, reducing the thermal path to the cold wall.
9. Rear wedge will not fall off if loosened too far.
10. Scalable to any form factor or card size.
